# Licensing and questionnaire availability

Original AgentTune code and authored preference templates are MIT licensed. This does not relicense third-party questionnaires. The release manifest and `data/instrument-rights.json` describe exactly what is included.

- IPIP items/scales are public domain: https://ipip.ori.org/newPermission.htm. The shipped 50-item adaptation identifies its order, factor labels and Neuroticism orientation separately from the upstream markers at https://ipip.ori.org/newBigFive5broadKey.htm.
- OEJTS 1.2 and ODAT publish CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 terms. Their versioned AgentTune adaptations are included under separate source terms, not MIT. Sources: https://openpsychometrics.org/tests/OJTS/development/OEJTS1.2.pdf and https://openpsychometrics.org/tests/ODAT/development/.
- The exact Creative Commons license/version applying to OEPS v1 remains unverified; its legacy AgentTune adaptation is restored, with the unresolved reuse status recorded. No unrestricted redistribution rights are asserted. Source: https://openpsychometrics.org/tests/OEPS/development/.
- ECR-R permits noncommercial research but requires commercial permission. That does not establish unrestricted product redistribution rights; the restored adaptation retains that limitation. Source: https://labs.psychology.illinois.edu/~rcfraley/measures/ecrr.htm.

Prior commits contained questionnaire content and blanket reuse wording. This release corrects those claims; it does not retroactively grant rights to old copies. No Git history has been rewritten. Source definitions used in historical research are identified by hashes and adaptation notes; responses to old wording must not be relabeled as responses to a corrected edition.

Content 1.1.0 restores the four prior website questionnaires at the site owner’s request. Operational availability does not grant additional permissions or resolve third-party reuse restrictions. Consult each instrument’s record and publisher terms before copying or adapting its content.
