Make your AI easier to work with.

Choose how you want it to respond. Get editable instructions for ChatGPT, Claude, Muse or your coding assistant. Start with your preferences or use a personality template.

From a preference to a useful instruction.

01

Choose what helps

Prefer concise answers, more exploration, candid feedback or a warmer tone? Start there. The 43 templates and five optional questionnaires can help you explore other preferences.

No personality label required.
02

Review your instructions

Choose your app and where to save the text. Edit the wording before copying. Keep only the preferences you want, alongside your existing instructions.

Plain text you can change or remove.
03

Try it on real work

Paste it using the setup steps, then try a few familiar tasks. Compare the replies and adjust what does not fit. Results depend on your app, model and context.

A saved preference is a starting point.

Start with one clear request.

“Be more direct” can mean several things. Write down what you want to change: where the answer starts, how much detail you need, and when you want alternatives.

For example, ask for a recommendation followed by the evidence. Keep uncertainty visible when it affects the decision. You can request a different style in any later task.

What the research can tell you.

Our research examines AI responses to personality questionnaires. It does not prove that AI has a human personality or that a template improves performance. The articles publish methods, data and limitations so you can assess the evidence.
